Kid’s Art Project Fundraising Secrets

Since we have the pleasure of working with many schools each year on their fundraising projects, we have been able to gather information regarding the best ways to maximize your Kid’s Art Project investment.

So what kind of sales return and results should you expect from a Kid’s Art Poster?

The conservative answer is always going to be that results vary.  We’ve seen our posters sell from anywhere between $300 to over $2,000.  When you think about what the factors are that might impact the price, they have to be:

·         Economic times

·         Poster design

·         Emotional buyers

What’s great about using our posters is the fact that even during these tough economic times, we know that schools are still finding generous buyers.

Regarding poster designs, yes, some come out better than others, but we have seen posters using kindergarten classroom art outperform 6th graders.

And emotional buyers? Let’s face it; some parents are better at expressing their emotions with their pocket book which is a very good thing for us all.

There are also some strategies we can recommend that should help you achieve great results.  Here is a quick description of one that you can use right now, the “Buy One Mounted or Framed Poster and Get One For Free Promotion.”

If this promotion is available when you read this page, take advantage of it because the full-size poster you get for free is a beautiful exact reprint of the original that you can also frame and sell at your auction.  So, if you were able to sell both at our average selling price of $600, that’s $1200 for your school minus the cost of the original framed poster ($300) and framing the reporting ($105). This equals a $795 potential profit for your school for just buying one poster!

Don’t worry about selling an original and a copy.  We can actually make minor changes to the original design free of charge so that the copy is also an original work of art.

But there is still room for more upside dollars. The $795 represents the potential profit for one classroom.  What if 3 classrooms decide to take advantage of this promotion?  That’s hypothetically almost a $2400 profit.  If more classrooms get involved, which is a very common practice, the numbers go up and if the posters sell for more than $600 the total profit goes up.

Also, get in the habit of selling reprints to the hordes of families and friends who want their own copy of the masterpiece on a wall.

Your cost for a full-size reprint is $45 or less depending on the volume.  If you can sell 20 (not realistic when you think of the size of a classroom), at $60 for a total profit of $300. Duplicate this offer over 5 classrooms, and you’ve hypothetically made another $1500.

So in summary, if you were to organize 5 classrooms to take advantage of this promo and sell reprints of the original, you could hypothetically bring in almost $4,000 for your school.

Of course, we can’t guarantee these results, but we can say that we know from experience that the scenario we just described is very achievable.
